Damian Finn is my pen name because I’m not seeking fame—I’m striving for legacy. When people hear the name Damian Finn, I want their eyes to widen, knowing that what they are about to experience comes from someone with immense passion and meticulous attention to detail. I want them to recognize the work of a natural creative.

Born in the North-East United States, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I have faced a few challenges that shaped my resolve. I couldn’t afford to continue film school after a difficult parent separation—a blow my younger brother and I are still recovering from. But I didn’t let that stop me. I’m relentless in my pursuit of a career in this industry. I’m exploring a unique path, determined to break in.

I pour everything I have into my screenplays—blood, sweat, and tears. I’ve sent them to competitions, mentors, friends, and family. They might not be Oscar contenders, but they are deeply personal, and I hope that resonates with you. My goal is clear: I want to earn a seat at a writers’ room table. These scripts are my resume, and if you see something in my work that speaks to you, I’m ready to bring that same passion and dedication to your project.

I know I belong in the film industry because, as Quentin Tarantino said, “If you have the ability to tell a story, to communicate a story, you can do that regardless of the format or medium. It's an instinct.” I believe I have that instinct—the unwavering drive to write every day and the dedication to patiently unravel a story, layer by layer. Storytelling isn’t just what I do; it’s who I am. It’s what fuels me, what keeps me going, and what I love more than anything else. This passion is what drives me to create, and it’s why I’m here, ready to contribute everything I have to this industry.

Outside of writing, I’m just a man living a normal life I suppose. I walk my dog every day, I do yard work, I hang out with my friends. I try to push myself into situations outside the routine. I believe that to be a successful writer, it’s essential to keep experiencing new things. Every story is inspired by the life you live, so I make it a point to keep living fully—and keep writing.
